Well, I didn't end up submitting the Comic for publishing this week. My appendix ruptured and because I am the kind of guy I am, I waited a few days to go the Hospital; Not only that, but I disregarded my better judgement went to my local hospital, and they didn't get to cutting on me for more than 24 hours, so I was in REALLY bad shape.

I think it's for the best the comic didn't get submitted though; I want to make a couple of script changes anyhow, so I figure I'll shoot for the coming week. I could make the script changes, and submit while I'm lying around, but making career decisions doesn't seem like a good idea on heavy pain-killers......just a thought.

ANYWAY, Who likes Original Black Rows artwork? Because I have some, and it's available!

Superman is renouncing his citizenship?

Wow....Superman is no-longer an American. in the 900th Action Comic, he apparently has a feud with the Federal government, and renounces his U.S. Citizenship.

I can understand being sick of the Federal Government, and if this is a statement on how out of control and oppressive it has become, I get it, but from what I understand, it isn't that at all.

I feel like Superman, has become a symbol of patriotism. An immigrant, who took to the American way of life, saw that it was good, and wanted to defend it, even with his life.

I think Superman is a hero kids can rally around, and has always been a unifying icon against tyranny AS AN AMERICAN....I haven't read this newest issue for myself, and haven't bought a superman comic in years, or even liked the movies, but I still find this twist pretty troubling.

I'm getting ready to submit the comic for Publication, and this is the Cover art I'm sending off with the comic.(-Feel free to save it, or make it your wallpaper, or what-have-you, but please dont post it around anywhere.)

I don't have any idea what I'm doing in the comic industry, so I'm not that sure how this is all going to go down, but I'll try to figure it out and keep you all informed. Hopefully I'll work it out, but if nothing else, it should be a fairly interesting read for anybody who may want to know more about the process.

Working on Comics has already been quite a different experience than anything I've ever done before.

-I was prepared for the endless hours of work creating the comic. -I'm FINE with hard work and long hours....Honestly that's kind of my thing! What I AM having a hard time doing is establishing a uniform "mood." But I think I have it all locked down now.

I was hoping to send off the comic for submission this week, but my own, overly critical eye has managed to get in the way (as it often does.) I'm sure most people would think it looks fine, but I can only see the problems with it. so we're shooting for next week. -Hopefully the improved quality with be worth the delay.

Wish me luck , and thanks again for the support everybody. I'm pouring all I have into this thing. With any luck, you'll be reading the first issue soon!

Some Changes.

So, the transition of this blog from my Portfolio, to the blog centered completely around 'Black Rows' is almost complete.....this obviousely means no more portfolio; but hopefully, it will soon be featuring new sketches, thumbnails, sequential art, photos, maybe even fan art? -Who knows?

It started years ago.......

Hello. My name is Bryndon, and I am a writer, and an artist. As of today, I am 25 years old. Growing up, I wanted to draw Comics.....My mind, and direction of my life were changed at the age at 16, when I met my good friend, Bob Nelson who told me that Concept Design was a better career move; So, a couple years later, at 18, I sold my car to pay for tuition, packed up my skateboard, and left for GNOMON, School of Visual Effects in sunny Hollywood.

I studied there for a while before leaving for personal reasons. A few years later, I attended The Concept Design Academy, in Pasadena. I was incredibly dedicated, and learned SO MUCH; It was mind blowing! What I didn't get however, was a whole lot of criticism about my conceptualizing skills (Which it turns out, I NEEDED.) It would take a few years, and a lot of REJECTION by EVERY company I applied to, before I decided to go BACK to school. -This time I attended FuturePoly in Seattle, and met my teacher, and pal Horia Dociu...who made me think that maybe Concept art wasn't my real calling.....

-A couple of years ago, I had an Idea for a story, a month ago I began turning it into a Comic.

The Comics industry is an entirely new world for me, so I thought it would be a good idea to shift this Blog from my portfolio, to a place to log my new experience.
