A million things have happened....
I got contracted to draw ANOTHER comic book, with a deadline of 8 weeks from now, and 2 days ago I had a very interesting Business meeting with American Dream Labs -As you can see in this photograph:

Yes, that is a giant Robot....Best Meeting ever.
I was asked if I knew animation. I told them no, but I was willing to learn, and would get them an animation by the end of the week....again, it's been 2 days, and I already got them this rough pass. -They did not know with whom they were talking.
In addition to all that, I'm still actively working on Shogun Rising, and it's going great.
Go figure. -The beginning of this year, I was literally begging for work, and now I'm inundated with it.
-Life of an artist.

-Keep it rubber side down!

Month of Fear

I'm contributing to "Month Of Fear" a weekly art challenge hosted by Kristina Carroll, (Host of "Month of Love") and held here on blogger! I'm happy to have been asked to contribute, and hope that I don't screw up.
Anyway, follow me, and all the contributers all month long, by following the blog, right here:
http://monthoffear.blogspot.com/2013/09/welcome-to-month-of-fear_27.html

So you may have noticed that my plan to get an app on my phone to solve all my not-posting problems failed miserably. -Honestly, I want to post, I just truly don't have the time to write blog posts, between Shogun Rising, Commissions, making time for the Mrs. just living, working my weekend job, working on my "secret project", Black Rows when I can (never) and now contributing to "Month of Fear"....Time just slips away!

I am sorry, and if you want to follow my work, I'd remind you to check my Instagram, facebook, and tumblr, - places where I can just upload an image and walk away!

Thanks again, Team.
-Until I get another break!

-B.

Here is a sneak peek of a panel from Shogun Rising! This is just the beginning. Pencils/inks were done by me, with Color by Cynthia Sheppard, Art Direction by Marc Scheff, and the writer/creator is Jon Mayor.

and here's how my pencils look before I send them off to color:

It's been a good experience working on this Comic. I'm learning a lot, and the team is a really nice group.
I've been working from about 10 am to about 4 am (sometimes around 6 am) every day, but that's the way I like it.

on another note, Speed Week is coming up in fewer than two weeks, and I still don't have my bike done! I've been cramming every minute I get into that, but with a Job, a wife, and a Bike all needing my attention, I am stretched pretty thin. and being 5'11" and under 130 lbs, I'm pretty thin already!

Anyway, here's a shot of me testing out my new handlebars on my bike. Hopefully, I get it done by speedweek.

New stuff, and nonsense!

I have started a tumblr! -
http://bryndoneverett.tumblr.com/
I know what you're thinking "why would he do that? He already neglects his blog and all his facebook accounts" - which is true! I do neglect social media...because i am older in my heart than i am in actual chronological years, and i resent social media, because I think it is a massive time suck, and takes me from work...I didn't even get a facebook account or start texting until about 2 years ago.
Anyway, i believe I have solved these problems. How? I got apps!
Yes! Now I can do all these social media things from my phone, which means I can just talk in the direction of my phone while I work, and it will be converted, through the power of magic, to text! Thus, (hopefully) making the whole process easier, and less time consuming.
Have I mentioned I am (most likely, its still...wobbly) the pencil artist on an upcoming graphic novel called Shogun Rising. It's about samurai hold-outs in modern day zombie-infested Tokyo; and there's a love element...honestly, that's all I really know, because even though I'm attached, I'm not "officially" on board....anyway, I'm cautiously optimistic about the whole thing.
Other than that, there isn't too much going on work-wise, I'm just trying to finish up all my other gigs before the project kicks in full tilt, because that's going to make for some LONG days of work when it does!
If for some reason you aren't following me on instagram yet ( @Bryndon_everett ) you really should. I update that thing DAILY -no joke. And lately I've been showing off process work, which is all kinds of fun to me when I see other people's process, so if you dig that sort of stuff too, go check it out!
I'll hopefully be back to post soon, we'll see if the app thing works out, huh?

COMIN ATCHA' HOT!!!
Alright, It's no secret that I love Comics.....Look at this blog, for crying out loud!

Well, Since I broke my arm, I landed a gig coloring comics for a company in India, of all places!
In addittion, I have been a lil' bit busy with commissions, advertising, and infographic work, but all the same, I have ALSO decided that I am going to try my hand at landing a Comic Book Cover gig....YES! Ambitious, and insane, I know. But I want it so badly!

Here's a preview of a few of the cover's I've done to bolster my Portfolio:

Anyway, Thanks for reading my crappy little blog. - I gotta get back to work!

Holy-Dammit-Christmas, things are crazy for me, right now.

I got a new studio, new computer, and with the new year, I have changed my Studio name, from Secret Fort Studio, to Draw and Fire:

Fancy new Logo!

I broke my left wrist in 5 places last Friday (feb. 15th, for those keeping track) I also snapped a Rib. I did it snowboarding with my oldest friend, Mr. The Tye.

To help raise money for my Uninsured self, I have been taking commissions for $20-$50, and selling prints on the SUPER cheap.
Here's a commission I did for a Fellow Vintage motorcycle lover, and friend.
I'm selling 5x7 prints of it for $20

If anybody would like to commission me, or if you're interested in a print of ANY of my works, please just email me! -The same goes for any employment opportunities. -No gig's too small!
Black Rows
is still moving forward, Here's a page of Linework:
And Finally, I'm working on a Mobile Game With an Outfit in SLC, I can't tell you much about the project, or even show you too much, but here's an early Environment Concept I did for them:
